Thank you…uhthankyouverymuch

Thanks for the warm welcome wishes, everyone!  You guys are awesome.  I may not post much in the next few days.  I’ll be focused on painstakingly moving almost 2 years’ worth of blog entries from the old place to the new.

I’ve also switched email addresses.  If I had your address in my hotmail contacts, you should have gotten a notification of my new address yesterday.  If you didn’t receive that and you want the new address, please leave me a comment and I’ll email it to you.  I’ll be canceling the hotmail account in a month or so.

Okay, that’s all I’ve got this morning…well, that and a raging, pounding headache.  But hey, at least it’s Friday AND we’re on the cusp of a three-day weekend.  Woohoo!  (That Woohoo was just for you, CircusKelli.)  (Hey, wow, I just opened CK’s blog to get the URL, and she’s got a fresh, new look.  So pretty!  Check it out!)

Have a terrific Friday, everyone, and a wonderful three-day weekend!

  1. You too, dear. Relax. Have fun.

God, I could just jump up on my chair and scream. YOU HAVE RSS!

Undercover Mutha, if I’d had any idea how important the RSS-thingy is to you or how happy this switch would make you, I would’ve done it long ago.

  3. I used to try to keep up-to-date with my blogs with the Blogrolling widget, but I found it to be a little PMS’y. Then I found Bloglines, and it’s a complete timesaver. I used to have over 100 blogs, but I’ve cut back to 61. I got so dependent on it, I’d forget to check the ones without RSS…and feel completely, utterly guilty.

Hey, if you’re happy, I’m happy.

Long ago when I needed to weed out some blogs because I was reading TOO many, I got rid of all the ones that didn’t have RSS. Partly b/c I wanted an all-RSS life and mostly because I forgot to read them half the time anyway.

Except for you. I made an exception for my dear LadyBug. I have been typing “lady” into my brower’s address bar (it autocompletes the rest for me) every day for who knows how long now. And I’d keep right on doing it. But golly I’m glad to put you in my RSS instead. 🙂

Next item on my agenda (after I finish the long, tedious copy/paste/edit/upload photos/holy-hell-why’d-I-start-this thing: checking into Bloglines. (It is free?) Thanks for the recommendation, Undercover Mutha.

kalki, that comment was so sweet, it damned near made me cry.  What would I ever do without my blog friends?

  6. Danielle says:

Hope your headache is better by now.

    Have a great 3-day weekend!

  7. Bloglines is free, baby!

  8. Kit says:

Whoo-Hoo!!! Fabulous new site, dahling…..simply fabulous!!!

  9. RzDrms says:

i’m just a’lovin’ you! and the rss feed on bloglines has me all spoiled now and s**t. i see 5 new posts from you and i get all excited…therefore, i’m re-readin’ the ones i’ve already read. like mcdonald’s says: “i’m lovin’ it!” 😉

  10. LadyBug says:

My headache did improve, Danielle, thank you. YAY! for three-day weekends!

Thanks, Undercover Mutha. I’ll be checkin’ on that soon.

    Hi, Kit! Thanks, dahling!

RzDrms, you are so cute. Seriously, if I’d had any idea how important the RSS-thingy was to you guys, I’d have switched long ago.

And geez, I didn’t even think about the RSS folks getting a notice every time I moved an old post to the new site. Sorry ’bout that, guys!

  11. Have a great weekend. Don’t work too hard.

  12. Squirl says:

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend. I like your new look. 🙂

  13. Squirl says:

Woo-hoo! This keep your name info! How nice not to have to type it in every time.

  14. LadyBug says:

    Thanks, Kranki. You, too.

Thanks, Squirl. And yeah, the “remember me” thing is yet another reason why I should’ve switched long ago.

  15. Amber says:

    It’s beautiful! I like it.

How nice that you were able to import all of your old blog posts, too.

    I am glad.

Sorry I didn’t help with a name, but I was totally, totally blank.

You know, the fuzziness thing, when you are, well, you know what I mean. 😉 wink wink. 🙂

I am just soooooo flaky lately.

Shoot, where did my keys go?

  16. LadyBug says:

Thanks, Amber. There’s no importing, though. WordPress can’t import from Tripod…just one more way Tripod sucks. So I’ve been painstakingly going through all my old posts at the old place and copying/pasting them to the new one. It’s taking For.Ev.Er., but at least I’ll be able to sever my ties with Tripod, once I get done.

  17. LadyBug says:

P.S. Amber, Did you look in Jonah’s toybox?

  18. Nice new digs lady, how does one have a proper blog moving party? Or is a a blog warming party?

Whatever, do we get to hire strippers? Buy some silly string, several bottles of wine and let loose? Cause if so I say we ALL move our blogs like once every few months and party down.

Looking good over here lady, very nice.

  19. LadyBug says:

Thanks, Jess. Sounds like you’ve got the perfect party plan, there. But we wouldn’t have to move (trust me, it’s a helluva lot of trouble); we don’t need an excuse to party!

  20. Amber says:

    Oh dear goodness! Jonah’s toybox!

    eeehehehehhehe

actually, I found them on the floor somewhere, but I went looking for his shoes and found THOSE and some socks, and some clothes, and some dishes…

    Yeeeeaaah….

  21. LadyBug says:

Hee, Amber! I know where you’re coming from. Big Boy hides stuff all the time!

  22. Closet Metro says:

RSS!! Wheee! I don’t have to remember to check for new posts anymore. Hooray.
